Main areas of responsibility:
  • Responsible for leading the accounting team including hiring, training, managing, and evaluating. Team currently consists of four members.
  • Lead monthly closing process to produce accurate and timely financial statements. Specific tasks include but are not limited to journal entries, control account and bank reconciliations, fixed assets, depreciation, prepaids, accruals, intercompany transactions, and variance analysis.
  • Oversee multiple business units including proper application of GAAP, cash management, A/P and A/R system records, and transaction validity.
  • Lead year-end financial audit.
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, annual, and multi-year projection process
  • Tax compliance including state sales and related items, foreign VAT return filings, and related foreign income tax filing coordination. Register in new states and countries as required.
  • Collaborate with European and Mexican business teams and advisors to implement cohesive and best business practices while staying in compliance with foreign government regulations.
  • Administer North America, Mexican and European payroll and post journals; maintain HR related documents and benefits relationships.
  • Provide payroll projections for multiple business units and administrative cost centers.
  • Respond to inquiries from company leaders and provide support with special projects or requests.
  • Maintain confidentiality with all company and employee information.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • Other projects as assigned. 
Location & Commitments
  • Full-time, permanent
  • Hybrid Position
  • Report to office HQ in Bellevue, Washington 2-3 days a week

Job Requirement

Basic Qualifications:
  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree in STEM disciplines or Business Administration, Management, Marketing with relevant work experience in a technical field
  • BA in Accounting.
  • At least 6 years of professional accounting experience.
  • Ability to lead, inspire, and delegate effectively.
  • Aptitude in analyzing data to uncover and communicate trends.
  • Time management skills are a must, including the ability to organize, plan, and prioritize to achieve business objectives while multi-tasking. 
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment. 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
  • Experience working in a technology-rich environment.
  • Leadership and public accounting experience a plus.
  • CPA or CPA candidate with strong GAAP skills preferred.

Preferred Level of Experience
  • 6+ years of work experience, depending on need, prior role & responsibilities
