Job Description

The Construction Draw Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Company’s policies, and is directly responsible for its accounting practices, the maintenance of it’s fiscal records and the preparation of financial reports. The Construction Draw Specialist is also responsible to provide appropriate support to the Asset Management and Accounting departments.

The Construction Draw Specialist will promote and uphold the mission, vision and values of the company. Additionally, this individual will strategically maintain and monitor a system of financial controls and accounting procedures that will ensure integrity of all systems within the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Reconcile draw requests to contract, working with borrower and contractor to resolve construction deficiencies/defects or funding issues, authorizing release of draw proceeds after confirmation of receipt of lien waivers, inspections and title company approvals.
  • Prepare draw disbursement request and necessary documents to send to the applicable parties for execution. Submit to management for approval, follow up communication with all parties with delivery expectations.
  • Communicates and/or resolves issues with contractors, borrowers and title agents related to the completion of the construction project. Makes recommendations to Asset Management for credit approval extension of loan commitments.
  • Resolves borrower-related issues throughout the construction/servicing process.

Job Requirement

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality levels. Demonstrates flexibility in responding to changes in assignment and job responsibility in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate high quality decision making, keen problem solving and analytical skills. Requires strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Possesses a positive telephone presence ensuring a pleasant client interaction.
  • Possess the ability to effectively communicate with borrowers and builders in high stress situations.
  • Proven leadership skills with ability to build trust, provide direction, drive alignment and execute with excellence
  • 5 years’ experience working in a corporate office environment
  • Associates degree preferred
