Job Description

Seattle Search Group the leader in staffing and recruiting for accounting and finance has teamed up with a rapidly growing Group of companies specializing in construction, development, and property management.  They are currently looking to add a controller level accountant for their property management division.     

Oversee/Prepare Month End and Year End Financial Statements for 10+ properties and Corporate Financial 
Lead the Monthly and Annual Corporate and Property Budgets and maintain monthly forecasting. 
People manage a team of 2 accounting professionals 
Review payable invoices and administer scheduled payments. 
Update cash registers. 
Reconcile bank accounts monthly. 
Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations. 
Assist with monthly property and intercompany billings. 
Preparation of annual 1099’s and state and local tax filings. 
Knowledge of internal controls and proven experience to implement process change to improve efficiencies. 
Monitor and maintain internal control directives in compliance with company policy. 
Collaborate with Onsite management to define and implement training and process improvements 
Other duties & tasks as assigned. 

Job Requirement

BA/BS Accounting or Finance. 
Advanced level of proficiency in Yardi Voyager and Microsoft Excel. 
Real Estate, construction and/or property management industry experience. 
Strong financial background and ability to develop financial analyses and reports. 
Must have a minimum of six years of experience in financial accounting. 
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while remaining flexible to changing priorities Ability to 
multi task and streamline processes. 
Ideal candidate will be motivated, self-starting, detail oriented and responsive to deadlines. 
Able to prioritize duties and efficient time management skills required. 
Excellent customer service, communication skills, and writing skills. 
Detail oriented, organized, and analytical in approach to tasks. 
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and colleagues in both 
written and oral form.
