Job Description

Seattle Search Group the leader in staffing for Accounting and Finance has an excellent opportunity. For a Revenue Accountant in South King County.
This position will be responsible for accurate revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606.      

Key Accountabilities:
Revenue recognition  •            
Ensure revenue recognition treatment is consistent with company policy and in compliance with ASC 606
•            
Responsible for timely and accurate review of initial contract agreements and all amendments
•            
Provide technical accounting analysis on non-routine transactions to ensure proper accounting treatment
•            
Computation of accurate and timely monthly success and performance fees
•            
Compiling key metrics and KPI information on revenue for management reporting
•            
Management of new client setup for timely and accurate revenue recognition in accordance with client agreement
•            
Regular communications with data analytics, customer success teams on revenue issues
•            
Assist in implementation, maintenance, and adherence to accounting revenue procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
•            
Assist with research, reporting and projects as it pertains to revenue
  Accounts receivable  •            
Research, investigate, and follow up on client account issues
•            
Collection of outstanding receivables
•            
Manage monthly meetings with Client Success team to go over AR and Accounting issues
  Other duties •            
Assist with the annual audit and preparation of audit-related schedules and support
•            
Identify, document, and implement internal controls
•            
Assist in special projects and other ad hoc duties as assigned
      

Job Requirement

Required Education and Experience: •             
BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting or equivalent experiences
 •             
Requires a minimum of two years of related experience
 •             
Experience in a high growth or technology-based company is an asset
 •             
Understanding of the new ASC 606 software revenue recognition standards highly preferred
 •             
Strong computer skills (MS Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, etc.)
 •             
CPA preferred, MBA is a plus
