Compensation: Base Salary of $125,000 - $150,000 Annually plus bonus

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Manager, Technical Accounting to join a dynamic team within a leading national healthcare provider. This fully remote position offers the chance to play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, with a focus on technical accounting and SEC filings. Collaboration across the Finance and Accounting departments is essential to this role. This position will be an individual contributor.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation and drafting of external financial reports, including periodic filings with regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Technical Memos: Develop and draft detailed technical accounting memos on complex topics, such as equity compensation, business combinations, and lease accounting.
Equity Accounting: Manage accounting for equity awards, including journal entry preparation and maintenance of equity schedules for consolidated financial statements.
Policy Development: Assist in the creation and upkeep of accounting policies and procedures to maintain consistency and compliance across the organization.
Research & Advisory: Stay updated on emerging accounting pronouncements, evaluate their impact, and support the implementation of new accounting standards as needed.
Compliance Documentation: Participate in the documentation and preparation of financial reporting controls in line with regulatory compliance requirements.
Audit Support: Provide crucial support during internal and external audits, including preparing necessary schedules and walking auditors through key processes.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with various teams within Finance and Accounting to provide expert guidance on complex accounting issues.
Special Projects: Engage in additional projects and initiatives that arise, contributing to the organization’s financial objectives.
Job Requirement
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. A CPA or similar certification is highly desirable.
Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a publicly traded company or in a public accounting setting. Experience with regulatory financial reporting is advantageous.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced understanding of accounting standards, particularly in equity compensation and lease accounting, along with strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory compliance, particularly Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with an emphasis on clarity and precision in conveying complex information.
